SICILY

I think I have Gypsy blood in me. I have always had a love of travel. My vacations have run the gamut of 5 star hotels, with the finest wines, food and cheeses to sitting on a mountaintop in the Sierra Madre's for one week in contemplation. My paternal grandmother came to American and made a life. I always wondered how she had the courage to leave her home, her people and her land. In 2005, the first visit I made to Sicily, I felt as if I came home. As an American, I have reversed the tables - I now have a home in Sicily.

Over the last year and one-half, I have come to love and appreciate the people of Sicilia and want to share her beauty.
